Job Description

The Concrete Foreman is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day field operations, from client communication to managing materials and personnel in the field. The right individual fit for this job, should have extensive knowledge of residential, commercial, and industrial concrete, and the ability to read plans and specifications. Being able to lead and mentor people is an essential part of this job. This job reports to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

Concrete Foreman is responsible to see that jobs are completed on time and on budget, including but not limited to the following:

  • Oversee project layout and quality control.
  • Work alongside and train crews as needed.
  • Update project management software daily including photos, who is working on job, job progress and delays, etc.
  • Turn in documentation and receipts daily.
  • Make sure you have equipment and materials for the next day(s).

Qualifications

  • English and Spanish required.
  • Natural leader who leads by example and enables other to do their best work.
  • Experienced with every aspect of concrete production, including finishing, forming, pouring, etc.
  • 3-5 years of concrete foreman experience preferred.
  • 10-12 years of concrete experience preferred.
  • Able to sit, stand, bend, lift 100lbs, sometimes for long periods of time and frequently.
  • Able to take initiative and problem solve.
  • Always looking to improve skills, quality, and income.
  • Always doing the right thing regardless of who’s watching or not watching.
  • Always ready to learn, pivot, and grow when mistakes are made, problems arise, or feedback is given.
  • Able to get behind company values and vision and be a leader in exemplifying them to the team. You are expected to be a servant leader, leading in humility, exemplifying our core values. This includes not discussing issues in front of other members of the team, customers, etc.
  • Ability to use devices such as a computer and or smart phone for time tracking and expense management, daily communication and updates.
  • Ability to read and understand scopes of work, plans and specifications.
