Position Summary

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for sales of all aftermarket services offered and will sell these services both remotely, and by traveling to customers. They will develop marketing and tactical sales programs to promote these services. While the ideal candidate has a strong sales background, they are optimally experienced in metal bending, have strong technical aptitude and are also organized and structured in both thought and action. This position may also coordinate closely with the CEO, COO, VP of Sales, and CS Manager. This position can be asked to perform any other functions as set forth by the National Service Manager under ever-changing business conditions.

Total compensation expected to be $125k (base + bonus).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Sales Account Manager works closely with the service and sales teams to best serve our customers by providing quotations, scheduling, and information regarding our services. Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Reach KPI sales targets for PM contracts, parts, training and technical services, and rebuilt machines
  • Create and institute sales campaigns to promote all of these services using multiple market channels (phone, e-mail, blasts, websites, social media)
  • Work in concert with other disciplines and departments to ensure a smooth operating sales organization to best serve our customer needs.
  • Coordinate with the sales department so as not to cannibalize the sale of new machines.
  • Coordinate with the field technicians in communicating and delivering services and parts to our customers.
  • Escalate critical customer situations to ensure customer satisfaction and protect against problems.
  • Work closely with the field service technicians and salesmen to estimate the value of used machines for the purpose of buying them back.
  • Work closely with the customer service manager to meet customer needs

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • 5+ years sales experience.
  • Good strategic sense and ability to formulate a vision for the future.
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with the Microsoft Office suite of products including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work with Salesforce.com.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Business Central.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized.
  • 40% travel throughout the year
  • Knowledge and the ability to read and understand equipment manuals.
  • Ability to use a variety of mechanical, electrical, and testing tools successfully and effectively.
  • Experience with machine tool repairs (or similar)
  • Must pass a basic mechanical and electrical assessment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Sheet metal and / or fabrication experience.
  • Strong technical aptitude
